BEGIN

Virginia Woolf, my fucking hero and probably one of the most intelligent and self-aware women that I am aware of; her shit is my choice of shit to mark the beginning of this soul-searching era of my life. That, and 2 X (extended jam out) on repeat by aids-3d... Hopefully I can stop by Berlin and get a taste of their music live if I ever end up making it out of the country this winter.

STARTING NOW

Taking a year off of school to learn a little more about life. My plans on how to do so include: taking a trip over to Europe (or somewhere? maybe even Montana?) --- don't know when I'll come back, read a shit ton, listen to a disgustingly massive amount of music, and lastly, I intended on drinking a lot with the mentality that an intoxicated me is possibly a better me.

I'm a bullshit excuse of a blogger

I should begin this post by saying: I am not dead, nor am I a fickle and undedicated person. However, I can't say that I have any better of an excuse as to why I haven't written on either of my blogs in, say... three months? Mildly embarrassed, I am now promising to myself as well as all who wish to read my blog but never have anything to read, that I will begin posting both more often and more quality posts.

So here it is, this is the moment that I am vowing to become a better 'blogger'. X my <3.

SCAD Fashion Show 2012

dress: vintage, belt: Mettle, bracelet: Jules Smith

shoes: Madison Harding, Bag: Zara

see full outfit HERE

Last weekend, I had the wonderful privilege of attending the SCAD Fashion Show. With guests like Andre Leon Talley, Ralph Rucci and SCAD's president, Paula Wallace, I wanted to find the perfect outfit for the event. Getting tickets just two days before the show and the lack of good shops here in Savannah, I was forced to put together an outfit using the clothing and accessories I already owned. Overall, I am super happy with my incredibly comfortable outfit I wore and that local blogger (see link above) was fond of it as well. Perhaps you will find some pictures from the fashion show up on my blog Emily A. soon! Until then, Au revoir!

Editor's Note?

To all my followers who do not yet exist,

I am so excited to finally start this blog! After 2 years of searching for the perfect blog name, it was with the help of a friend that I decided on "Moche Mode" which when translated from French, means "Ugly Fashion". For those of you who already know me, you would probably agree that this describes my sense of style quite well. It's always been a pleasure of mine to take hideous pieces, and make them a part of a unique and hopefully stylish outfit. So that is what this blog is for; to record my Moche Mode Moments... the good, the bad, and the ugly
